Welcome to The Cotswolds, widely recognised as the walking capital of England. Attracting visitors from all around the world, we’re extremely fortunate to call it home. We have been offering walking tours & hiking vacations in the Cotswolds (sometimes referred to as the Cotswalds) since 1993. We live and work in the heart if this area of gentle hills and extraordinarily beautiful villages, giving us over 35 years experience of helping our clients experience our beloved Cotswolds region first-hand.

The Cotswolds
The Cotswolds is an area of gentle hills, but with a maximum altitude of just over one thousand feet, walking here is within the reach of almost anyone. Yet, those same hills mean that wonderful, dramatic views are possible with comparatively little effort – views down to gem-like villages, and across valleys and plains to the Black Mountains in Wales, the Malvern Hills and the Forest of Dean, another beautiful part of Gloucestershire beyond the River Severn.

Chris, we had a wonderful time. A few notes are attached with minor suggestions about directions. The snafu over lodging in Winchcombe was handled gracefully, and we think the Lion and Wesley House were actually a step up from the White Hart. We found excellent evening dining options along the way, and pub lunches were always available enroute.
