Walking Tour Overview
Our self-guided interlude is the perfect Cotswolds short walk for intrepid travelers. Experience all the charm and natural beauty the Cotswolds are known for as you explore two quintessential Cotswold villages and the surrounding countryside. This short walk in the Cotswolds links Moreton-in-Marsh (which is easily accessible from London), with Broadway, passing through a fascinating variety of landscapes and villages, including Snowshill and Chipping Campden.
As one of the best short circular walks in the Cotswolds, this tour will give you a rich and authentic Cotswolds experience in just two days of walking. The pace and routing of this tour make it best suited to those with moderate hiking experience.
From Moreton-in-Marsh, pass through the pretty village of Longborough, with its strong connections with the Opera at Banks Fee and on to the villages of the high wolds, including Snowshill, home to the eccentric collection at Snowshill Manor, before descending to the epitome of Cotswold life, Broadway. From there, walk down to Chipping Campden, perhaps the loveliest of Cotswold small towns, before going on to Blockley, followed by Batsford with its arboretum and falconry centre before returning to Moreton-in-Marsh to conclude your brief countryside interlude.
