The Tour

Ian Coley is Gloucestershire born and bred. He started out as a gamekeeper before working at a gunsmiths, which led to him running his own gunsmith business in Cheltenham. By this time, he was shooting for his county and for England and Great Britain. He then went on to found his own shooting school and to coach the finest British marksmen, among them Richard Faulds, who won Olympic gold at Sydney 2000 and Peter Wilson, who won Olympic Gold in London 2012.

Ian Coley’s shooting school, located in the heart of the Cotswolds, is one of the finest in the country, with Olympic layouts, comprehensive training facilities, gunroom and a full range of country clothing. For anyone interested in tuition or a practise session, from the complete novice to the experienced marksmen, Cotswold Journeys can incorporate it into your holiday. For a novice an hour’s tuition is recommended as the perfect introduction. For more experienced marksmen, sessions can be arranged on a bespoke basis.
